Merry Christmas Eve and Santa Claus

It's Christmas Eve!!!!
Joey is about to burst and we keep checking Santa's location of the Norad Santa Tracker.

Joey got to see Santa at the Chattanooga Choo Choo this year. It was a great visit. He told Santa he wanted a remote controlled dinosaur with a long neck that goes "stomp stomp" and a Buzz Lightyear Bike.

A kiss to prove I've been good this year

Our family! Bill and I were NOT prepared to be photographed, so you must forgive our appearance.

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL &
TO ALL A GOOD NIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Holiday Fun...elfs, old friends, new friends, cookies & our oldest city

Joey and Da had a great time making cookie cutouts... but Joey wanted to put Halloween sprinkles on them : )
Joey and his best pal Zach (he's 5 but they get along GREAT) the smiles look sweet don't they....well they aren't these little schemers had an ambush planned
Revolt!!!!! they pelted me with the Santa hats I made them wear....serves me right I guess making them stop playing to get a dumb old picture

Joey finding his Elf that Santa left for him with goodies, he just hugged and cuddled it

Then we told him there was a gift inside and he was awe-struck...it was enough for him that he knew Santa had been thinking of him....precious boy, he has given us a wonderfully magical Christmas so far...I can't wait for more!!!!!!!!!!!!

Our wonderful, terrific, special friends from Minneapolis came to visit us...Jon and Jane Ritter. We were all so excited!!!! It was their first time meeting Joey and he talked their ears off : )

They were on their way to Daytona to race John's Corvette, he let Joey sit in it!!!! He looks good in a Vette doesn't he Da?! What wonderful friends!!!!! So good to see them and catch up, Thank you guys for coming to see us!!!!!!!!!!!!! We miss you already!!!!

Once again, we traveled to St. Augustine the nations Oldest City to see the parade and lights. Joey really loved the parade, which included costumes from EVERY country that occupied the city...including Scottish, English, Spanish, American Indian....Joey liked mimicking the horns

He really liked these uniforms AND the rock candy : )

Stay tuned, Santa is Coming to Joey's Blog...

Tree and Decorating

We went to pick out our live tree the day after Thanksgiving and had a blast as usual. Joey was hiding from the camera that day....

Our tree stump, BIG tree I am afraid we pulled a Clark W. Griswold with the tree....it is LARGE!!

Joey on the ladder decorating...did I mention we got too big of a tree : ) OOPPPSSS

He is very meticulous about where the ornaments go and don't you dare try and help him or make suggestions : )

Joey inside a giant stocking Bill made in High School, for a while he wanted to use it as HIS stocking. You better believe Mama took him shopping the very next day for a new stocking!!!!

Buzz Lightyear Big Boy Room

Well, Joey had long since outgrown his toddler bed and the downstairs office we had put him in. Being the way too overprotective parents we are, the thought of moving him upstairs while we stayed downstairs in the master suite was very scary. We mulled it over and decided that we all should move upstairs, it turned out to be a great decision. So now if you come visit us you get the biggest bedroom in the house : )

So we took Joey shopping for a bed and he chose this Buzz Lightyear Slide Bunk Bed, so we HAD to paint the room to match. Bill as usual did a great job painting the outer space detail and even highlighted the planets, rockets and stars with glow-in-the-dark paint, so the room has its own built in nightlight : )
Joey loves the slide

And he loves the spaceship control panels Bill painted on the wall

In this pic I had been given the task of designing his attached bath and as you can see I was not achieving much....oopps. What a mess!

But I finally got his Nemo-Under the Sea bath done....Mom just isn't as "Type-A" as Da or near as talented....my special effects come from Target in the form of stick on's : )

Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Happy (late!) Thanksgiving to everyone! We had a very quiet, low key day and aside from dry turkey it was WONDERFUL. We had all been suffering from bronchitis and poor Joey has strep throat on top of it, so we really needed a long weekend and full bellies to recuperate! Here's my boys maintaining tradition and giving me a raspberry when I tried to get a picture...goobers!!

After dinner we started a fire, believe it or not it has been FREEZING here in Florida. Then we had hot chocolate and roasted marshmallows, a wonderful Thanksgiving

We are so Thankful for our wonderful family and friends!!!! And of course super duper extra special thankful that God blessed us with Joey Z.
