Last weekend we took a quick trip and detoured to the shore for what we thought would be 5-10 minutes. But it ended up being an hour or so with Joey and I all wet. Once Joey saw the waves hitting the beach he was off and running. He was not very happy at all when we had to leave.
He had absolutely no fear and pretty much just ran right into the water and waves. (Which incidentally scared the poo-poo right out of Bill and I, we went to school with friends whose father drowned in the ocean...so we are both a little leery of the undertow)
The wave heading for him here was HUGE....but he loved the water and thought it was great when it hit him.
This is a funny picture, you can see Joey is pointing at something, well that something rolled right up and soaked us both : )
A cute pic of father and son.
We met this very nice gentleman at a Chili's restaurant and Joey struck up a little friendship with him. He would talk to him when he went by and give him high-fives. Much to our delight and surprise he gave Joey the hat you see him wearing and so Joey paid him back with a big hug and smile. Joey may not be a perfect talker yet, but he seems to have a personality that helps a lot of people "speak his language" anyway. Joey loves people and is so affectionate to everyone he meets. (Can you tell his Mom is writing this, sorry sometimes you have to brag a little. God really blessed Bill and I with an Angel as a Son)
