Moving and shaking!!!

Joey is on the move more than ever this week. He is a very fast crawler and when you tell him not to go somewhere all he does is step up his pace to try and outrun you. He can pull to standing and can fly on his walker. The fearless boy also likes to stand up, balance and then let go (this drives Mommy crazy) he can stand for about 30 seconds and then unless we catch him he falls - sometimes he shakes it off and sometimes he doesn't. These little baby-stunts have cost him several bonks on the head lately when he doesn't quite catch his balance or he thinks he can do more than he can. Bill and I now have EVERYTHING in our house padded and even talked about getting him some kind of padded helmet to help with this : ). Poor little guy.

Here he is on his walker, he pulls to standing on it by himself and can go, go, go. Notice the tongue in some pics, he is still sticking it out to concentrate - a family trait I guess :)

Look I don't need you to hold me (he gets mad if we try). But thank goodness Dad is there to catch him!

A little flashback! Remember the first pic, he looked so small in that tub just 7 months ago, well look at him in it now!

7 Months Old Today!!

Well Joey is a big 7 months old today and I cannot believe it. He has developed a lot in the past month and is a very independent and determined boy when he sets his mind to something. He falls down again and again when tryng to pull himself up but gets back up right away and starts pulling again - with me grimacing at each bump. But he does really well and can stand for a long time now.

Here we are at feeding time. (I know I look like crap but Bill complained I am never in any of the pics) Joey has the best smile on his face here. Look at how he wraps up my arm with his arm and leg...cute!

Well on Thursday we went on our first road trip overnight with Joey and he was an ANGEL! We did have one tiny problem....he was WAY too big for the travel bassinet we brought and as you can see below had a blast crawling out of it.

Haha says Joey you can't just lay me down anymore, get ready for some action!!!

Saturday we gave Joey his first teething biscuit and at first he wasn't quite sure what to do with it.

But he got the hang of it pretty fast....

and was trying to eat it all at once.

Here Joey is seeing the snow outside for the first time (this is a copy post from Katie and Greg-sorry to copy guys but Luke was so cute in the snow I can't help it)

here he is touching the snow.... brrrr its cold. Overall I don't think he is going to be a snowbunny he didn't like it that much and wanted to go in.

Daddy, Daddy, Daddy!!!!

Well, as some of you may already know Joey started saying Daddy the other night and has not stopped....sure he said Mama first but only like Mamamamama and only when upset and he wants to be loved on.... soo oh well that's okay it sure is cute and he loves it (with CONSTANT encourage from Bill of course) we can be driving down the street and he hasn't seen Bill all day and he will be back there going Daddy, Dadddeeee, Daddy and hard as I try I cannot steer him to Mommy unless he is upset. Anyway here are some pics from the past week.

Here he is practicing with his sippy, he is actually getting pretty good at it.

And here he is trying his first "REAL" fruit a frozen banana - you can see he liked it!

Last but not least here are pics of our little guy pulling up on the couch...he has become ABSOLUTELY FEARLESS and will pull up on anything- Bill and I were not even close to prepared for this and we are FREAKING OUT! He has pulled up on his high chair, most of our furniture, he tries to pull up on all of his toys, gyms, etc. You can see when he is going to try to do something new and fearless he sticks out his tongue and concentrates real hard.

Outing with Dad

Here are some pics of Joey on Sautrday getting ready to go on his outing with Dad so Mom could sleep in! Did I mention how much I love Bill - what a great husband....and he loved taking Joey shopping and showing him off!!

And here he is with his new car walker...like and man with a new car I could hardly get him to look at me for a picture...forget smiling this kid who is normally a ham was way too busy honking his new horn.
